Racking
We are proud to be a UNARCO dealer, offering their complete range of pallet racking products for sale. Our warehouse design experts can consult with you on how to get an optimal pallet rack setup for the exact measurements of your warehouse, the lift trucks you utilize, and the types of product you move through your warehouse.
With over fifty years of experience, UNARCO has proven to be the most flexible pallet rack manufacturer in the industry. Over the decades, they have developed the ability to produce an entire line of warehouse storage solutions including carton flow rack, pallet flow rack, push-back rack, drive-in rack, and cantilever rack as well as complex pick module systems. We can help you figure out the best warehouse storage system for your operation.
Storage is often the first thing built in a warehouse, but most warehouses use outdated systems or aren’t making optimal use of their space. To be a top tier operation in today’s competitive warehouse industry, businesses need to utilize the best possible layout for their facility and leverage the right storage system to maximize efficiency. Read about the different types of storage systems we offer below to help find the right one for your business.
Carton Flow Rack
Carton flow rack systems utilize sloped shelves with rollers to create a first-in/first-out presentation basis to organize products and lower labor costs. This style of storage greatly improves efficiency over traditional pallet racking by having dedicated rear loading and front picking aisles to improve workflow. Carton flow rack also utilizes half the space as traditional pallet rack. Ideal for warehouse with numerous SKUs, carton flow rack can also be integrated into conveyor systems to create functional pick modules. We offer UPick, KPick/Kingway, D-2 low profile, Rhinotrac, Rhinodeck, and Dura-flex™ carton flow systems to help you pick the setup that’s best for your needs.
Pallet Flow Rack
Pallet flow rack is an ideal storage system for fast-moving warehouses that need to be able to move entire pallets of products quickly and easily. Pallet flow racking utilizes sloped shelves equipped with heavy-duty skate wheels to allow gravity to pull pallets down for easy operator access from the picking position. This creates a first-in/first-out, high-density storage system ideal for fast-paced warehouses. Our pallet flow racking systems can have storage up to twenty pallets deep, while still being gentle enough to handle the most fragile products with adjustable angles and electromechanical and or pneumatic speed-braking systems.
Push Back Rack
Push back racking systems are simple, low profile storage solutions that utilize nesting carts that are pulled by gravity along steel rails. This style of racking creates a first-in/last-out inventory management system. Built with structural or roll-formed frames, push back racks can be up to five pallets deep with each pallet bearing up to 2,500lbs each. Each lane operates independently, and multiple pick facings mean that multiple SKUs can be stored and retrieved without interacting with other products above or below. Forklift operators also never have to enter the rack, promoting a safer warehouse environment.
Drive-In & Drive-Thru Pallet Rack
Drive-in and drive-thru pallet rack systems are high-density storage solutions in which a forklift loads and retrieves by driving into the system. Drive-in systems are last-in/first-out, and drive-thru systems are first-in/first-out, and both provide low-cost bulk storage for warehouses with large volumes of like product. These systems can also be easily integrated into standard pallet rack or any kind of special structural designs. Safety is always a top priority in the material handling industry, and we create sloped-leg frames to create extra clearance and safety for forklifts as they drive into these systems to help minimize the risk of impact.
Cantilever Rack
Cantilever rack systems are designed to store loads of varied length and proportions while removing the horizontal restrictions of traditional pallet rack. Ideal for storing products such as pipes, tubing, or lumber, these rack systems utilize movable positive locking arms to promote customizability and safety. Cantilever storage systems can be designed to store any type of product no matter how bulky or awkward they are. They’re also designed to make assembly a breeze with their one-piece column and cantilever base.
Pick Module Systems
A pick module system is a sophisticated racking system that incorporates multiple storage solutions in a multi-level work platform to move a product through a warehouse. In pick module systems, palletized loads are moved by gravity through the system to be broken into cartons and pieces before making it to shipping. By optimizing flow efficiency between pallet racking, integrated conveyors, push back rack, carton flow, and software-driven product sortation systems, distribution centers utilizing pick module systems can fulfill over one hundred thousand orders per day, or a million units per week. With an engineered pick module system, businesses can increase accuracy, efficiency, and precision while lowering labor costs.
